As a photographer, I try to capture scenes, which I wish to remember either the beauty or the happiness they bring to me. I have always taken my camera every where we travel, taking pictures to share with family and friends to remind us of places we’ve been and the good times we’ve had.
After working as a pharmacist for 25 years, I learned I have Charcot-Marie-Tooth degenerative nerve disorder. Since I can no longer work as a pharmacist, I now have more time to enjoy photography adventures.
After my diagnosis, I founded the Upstate NY CMT group to share information, resources, and hope with others dealing with this challenging neuromuscular disorder. In addition to raising awareness of CMT, I have been looking for fundraising opportunities.
So, I was very fortunate to meet with Jackie & Susan of Art de Cure at The Endocrine Group. I’m excited for this opportunity to be part of CPO’s Art de Cure gallery benefiting the CMTA’s STAR (Strategy To Accelerate Research) initiative, and the new gallery at Dr. Lev Barat’s office to benefit the Ronald McDonald House, and the Plastic Surgery Group gallery.
